What Host Employers

How it Works
- Once you have submitted your Host employer application through the portal, please allow 10 business days to receive a status update from a regional coordinator.
- Once you have been pre-qualified, you will have 30 days from your pre-qualification to secure your own candidate for the position.
- Once you have secured a candidate, you will have to get them to apply as a youth candidate under the appropriate program.
- Once you can confirm the candidate has successfully submitted the application, you can send us an email providing the participants name and start date so we can match you up in the system.
After the placement has been matched and contracts have been sent out, please complete the contracts within 15 business days and take note of the report due dates stated on the contracts to complete these in a timely manner.
If you already have a participant secured, please ensure the intern has completed the candidate portion of the application and indicate the participant’s name in the host application to ensure matching is done immediately after pre-qualification of the hosts application. This also applies to interns that have secured an organization for funding.

How It Works
- The first step is to submit an application and to get pre-qualified by a regional coordinator. Please allow 10 business days to receive an update from a regional coordinator. Indicate on your resume that you are pre-qualified for funding. This provides another incentive for the employer to hire you.
- Once you have been pre-qualified, you will have to secure an Employer and get them to apply as a Host Employer under the appropriate program.
- Once you can confirm the Employer has successfully submitted the application, they will need to send us an email providing your name and start date so that we can match you up in the system.
- If your application is pre-qualified, you will need to email us, for us to match you up in the system.
